A warning has been issued by the BBC, following its own investigation, to beware of the hundreds of fake charity websites that have now been set up by scammers to trick people into donating money to the people and the military of Ukraine. Some have even been using well known charity brands such as ‘Save the Children’. The advice is to be cautious and carry out extra checks for legitimacy before donating, and to report (to Action Fraud) and delete any messages that say they are from charities but appear suspicious.
As key project members in many of our IT projects whether, actively assisted or simply advised what they do not know about IT, in our opinion isn’t worth knowing!
